Announcing Wave for Youth: Vikingos Launches Program for Local Kids
Vikingos is proud to announce Wave for Youth, a bold new initiative designed to bring the thrill of the lake to Guatapé’s next generation. In partnership with the municipality, local leaders, and key community advocates, Wave for Youth aims to inspire, empower, and celebrate local youth through epic experiences and mentorship on the water.
What is Wave for Youth?
Each edition of the program will select a local young person to receive a full-day Viking Experience with the Vikingos crew—complete with watersports, training, and time on the lake. But this isn’t just a ride—it’s a rite of passage.
The youth will also be joined by a special guest: a Wave for Youth Ambassador—a public figure known for achievement, resilience, and positive impact. Whether it’s an athlete, artist, or community leader, the Ambassador will ride alongside the participant, creating powerful moments of connection and inspiration.
Empowering Through Adventure
Wave for Youth is about more than play. It’s about giving local kids the chance to explore their strength, feel seen, and experience something bold. We believe that when youth taste adventure, they also gain confidence, pride, and vision. And that’s what Vikingos is all about.
Launching July 2025
The first edition of Wave for Youth will take place in July 2025. Applications and nominations will open in June. We encourage families, teachers, coaches, and community leaders to nominate youth who show potential, spirit, or simply need a moment to feel powerful and uplifted.

We are currently confirming our first Wave for Youth Ambassador, and we can’t wait to introduce them. This individual will be a role model kids can truly look up to—someone who embodies strength, humility, and the Vikingos values of bold living and unity.
