Not at all! Our instructors specialize in teaching beginners with simple and effective techniques.
No prior experience needed. We’ll guide you every step of the way.
We provide the skis, the life jacket, the tow rope and an intercom helmet, plus the boat, the pilot and an instructor. You only need swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. Nothing has to be rented or brought separately.
Typically 3–4 people can comfortably ski within one hour, depending on individual stamina.
Yes. Every water ski session includes a pilot and an instructor on board. The instructor adjusts boat speed to your level and coaches you through the deep-water start until you are comfortable behind the boat.
Water ski sessions start at 400.000 COP per hour, covering the boat, the pilot, the skis, the life jacket and instruction. Typically three or four people can ski comfortably within one hour.

Swimwear, a towel, dry clothes and sunscreen. Add a light jacket for the ride back, since the wind on the reservoir is cooler than it looks. Skis and life jacket are provided.
Yes. Once you are stable on two skis the instructor moves you to dropping one and riding slalom. Progression depends on the rider, but the flat morning water on the reservoir makes it easier to hold an edge.
The Peñol-Guatapé reservoir is sheltered freshwater with no swell, so mornings are usually glassy. That is a significant advantage over skiing at sea, where chop makes learning much harder.
