All participants must wear a life jacket at all times. No previous experience required — our instructors will guide you step by step. Participants must be in good general health. Not recommended for people with recent surgeries, severe back problems, or advanced pregnancy. All activities are subject to weather and water conditions. Participants must always pay close attention to the captain’s instructions. Accident insurance is included for all participants.

Yes, kneeboarding is great for beginners and requires less balance than other watersports.
Yes. Kneeboarding is the most accessible towed sport because you stay on your knees instead of standing, so balance is far less demanding. Minimum age is 6. Every rider wears a life jacket and gets a short briefing from the instructor before starting.

The speed is adjusted based on rider comfort and skill level—typically between 10 to 20 mph.
Kneeboard sessions start at 420.000 COP per hour, including the boat, the pilot, the kneeboard, the life jacket and instruction. Your group shares the hour and rotates riders, so the cost covers everyone.
Swimwear, plus a towel and dry clothes for afterwards. Bring sunscreen and a light jacket, because the wind on the reservoir feels cold once you are out of the water. We supply the board and life jacket.
On a kneeboard you ride on your knees with a strap across your thighs, so you do not have to stand or balance on edge. That makes the deep-water start far easier and is why most beginners start here.

On the Peñol-Guatapé reservoir, launching from Marina Navegar where Vikingos is based. The captain picks a sheltered stretch of water with little traffic, which keeps the surface flat while you learn.

It’s the perfect mix of adrenaline and laughter — feel the bounce, the speed, and the splashes like a true Viking in battle
Boat Rental & Tours
Rent a private boat on the Guatapé reservoir, captain and fuel included. Take it as a tour past the Peñón, the flooded old town and the islands, or simply cruise, swim and stop where you like. The boat is yours for the hour, not shared, so a group of eight pays the same as a couple.
