We Live in Guatapé

Booking from another country is guesswork. We know the operators, the drivers and the kitchens by name, we know what is actually good, and when something changes we fix it the same day.

FAQs

Questions? We've got the answers—but in the end, it's up to you to be a Viking and GO 💪

What does your trip planning actually cover?

Everything from the moment you land. Airport pickup in Medellín, transport, lodging, meals, activities and the timing between them. You get one plan and one contact who runs it on the ground, so nobody in your group has to make decisions once the trip starts.

How large a group can you handle?

Up to fifty people, planned in full detail: rooms, transfers, meals, dietary requirements, activity rotations and a weather contingency. Our planner has run groups at this scale for two tourism agencies, including customised merchandise for every guest.

Do you only work with visitors already in Colombia?

No. We plan trips for travellers arriving from anywhere in the world, and most of our groups fly into Medellín. We meet you there and handle the transfer, so the only booking you make yourself is the flight into Colombia.

How does the planning process work?

Tell us the group size, your dates and a rough budget. Rough numbers are enough. We come back with a day-by-day plan showing what is included and what each element costs, you change it as many times as you need, then we run it.

What kind of experiences can you arrange?

Helicopter transfers from Medellín, private boats and crew, a floating house with a kitchen and a chef on board, 4x4 convoys into the town centre, guided walks through the zócalos, and private use of our arcade for the group.

Do you run the activities yourselves or subcontract them?

We operate our own boats and crew on the Peñol-Guatapé reservoir, so the water part of your trip is run by us rather than subcontracted. Everything on land is arranged with partners we already work with and can vouch for.

How far ahead should we book a group trip?

The earlier the better for large groups, because lodging and helicopter slots are the limiting factors rather than anything on the water. For a group of fifty, several months ahead is comfortable. Small private groups can often be arranged much faster.

What happens if the weather turns?

Yes. Every plan carries an alternative for each outdoor element, and because we run the boats we can move the water portion of the day rather than cancel it. The plan changes, the trip does not stop.
